[Hiring] Tax Accountant @GBS Group

Role Description

As a Tax Accountant, you will work on a variety of tax assignments, collaborating with team members and supporting clients providing expert tax guidance, tax return preparation and compliance needs. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-level tasks, advise clients on sophisticated tax strategies, and set a standard of excellence within our firm.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

• Analysis of financial information and preparation of financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for clients.
• Prepare various tax returns, including 1040, 1040NR, FBAR, 1120, 1120S, 1120F, 1065, and 5471.
• Review and process incoming financial documentation such as bank statements and client documentation.
• Facilitating clients to ensure they are complying with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Perform additional accounting and tax-related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Taxation and 5+ years experience.
• Experience in US Tax Preparation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Tax Programs.
• Advanced level of English & Spanish.
• Prior experience preparing complex tax returns and corporate tax filings.

• Must be comfortable reading, writing, and speaking to clients about tax accounting matters in both English and Spanish.
