Role Description
The Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Operations will bridge the gap between high-level vision for new partnerships and funding relationships and the creation of realistic budgets, reports and financial narratives that meet donor needs and clearly communicate the relationship between outcomes and funding.

Deep experience in financial analysis, reporting, systems and tools.

Comfortable estimating high level information and building detailed models to support financial analysis and decision making.

Individual contributor and hands-on producer of value-added financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.

Reports directly to the CFO.

Collaborates with senior leadership and works extensively with the fundraising team on donor and Board deliverables.

Leads enterprise functions including risk management and cash forecasting.

Implements effective tracking and monitoring of Global and US operations OKRs, metrics and customer deliverables.

Available to meet with teammates in Africa during cross-over time zones.
Key Responsibilities

Financial reporting, analysis and scenario modeling in support of fundraising.

Model the cost of new projects, programs and partnerships.
-
Own financial processes for donor budgets, including templates, guidelines, metrics and analysis.

Collaborate with program and functional teams to provide value added analysis and model future scenarios.

Lead financial due diligence responses and ensure adequate policies and practices are in place.

Forecast quarterly, annual and long term revenue and cash flows.

Provide financial guidance to global support functions and execute the annual budget process.

Work with the Chief Innovation Officer to model new opportunities.

Support the implementation of new processes and systems required to accommodate new workstreams.

Build organization-wide financial reporting and optimize finance tools.
-
Implement enterprise risk tracking and action registers.
-
Coordinate US Operations including financial operations, procurement, and compliance.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

MBA or Professional accounting certification (CPA, or equivalent) is desirable.

5-10+ years of progressively responsible experience in financial analysis, budgeting and reporting.

Experience designing and creating value-added reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

Proven experience implementing useful financial tools and improving the timeliness and accuracy of financial information.

Experience with non-profit programs, grants finance, and donor budgets is highly desirable.

Proficiency in Netsuite, Google workspace, Business intelligence tools, and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Job Location: New York or other remote locations in the US, East Coast time zone preferred.

Salary: Approximately $70,000 - $100,000, with final compensation based on experience and skills.

Probation period: Three months probation period with learning and performance objectives.
