Role Description
The Senior Group Finance Manager will oversee both the strategic and operational finance functions across two related property businesses. This is a hands-on Business Partner role, reporting to senior management and covering areas such as:

Accounts payable and receivable

Investor and financier drawdowns

Bank reconciliations
A key focus of the role is using technology and automation to build a more efficient and scalable finance function, with minimal manual data entry. Working closely with senior management, operations and project teams, investors, lenders, and external advisors, the Senior Group Finance Manager will help drive financial discipline, profitability, risk management, and investment performance across the business.
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience in finance roles in Australian companies.

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.

CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.

Ideally, experience in property development and management, real estate, construction, and/or similar relevant industries.

Experience managing debt facilities, bank drawdowns, investor drawdowns and project cashflows.

Strong understanding of Australian taxation, accounting standards and corporate governance requirements.
Requirements

Act as the key finance lead across both businesses.

Partner with the Managing Director and project teams on strategic and commercial decisions.

Support funding, investor reporting and lender requirements.

Manage relationships with accountants, auditors, banks and external advisors.

Build a scalable and efficient finance function that supports business growth.

Prepare annual budgets and regular financial forecasts.

Monitor business and project performance against budget.
-
Manage company and project cash flow forecasting.

Chase Accounts Receivable to reduce Day Sales Outstanding.

Monitor working capital and ensure sufficient funding is available for operations and projects.

Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.

Support property development projects from acquisition through to completion.

Prepare and maintain project feasibility models and financial assessments.

Monitor project costs, commitments and profitability.

Provide financial reporting on project performance and investment returns.

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

Manage month-end and year-end close processes.

Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, payroll tax and other statutory obligations.

Support annual audits and tax compliance requirements.

Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and financial policies.

Use technology and automation to improve bookkeeping and finance processes.

Implement and maintain finance systems and reporting tools.
-
Reduce manual processing through automation and digital workflows.
-
Develop dashboards and reports to improve business visibility and decision making.

Drive continuous improvement across finance operations.

Implement AI and latest technologies to automate the bookkeeping function.

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities across two business groups and related Property development projects.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
-
Manage bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.

Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
-
Ensure transactions are accurately coded and allocated across projects and entities.

Manage payroll processing, superannuation and employee expense claims.
