Role Description
The Reinsurance Operations Analyst supports the day-to-day processing and servicing of reinsurance business within "The Clients" Management Services offering. The role involves:

Working with premium and claims bordereaux, statements, and other financial and operational data

Performing reconciliations

Investigating discrepancies
-
Maintaining accurate and auditable processing records

Supporting communication with cedants, brokers, and other stakeholders
Prior reinsurance experience is not required. We are looking primarily for someone who is numerically capable, highly proficient in Excel, detail-oriented, and naturally inclined to investigate why something does not look right. Training will be provided in reinsurance concepts, OpIngen’s proprietary RePort processing platform, and our operating procedures.

Requirements

Receive, review, and process premium and claims bordereaux submissions
-
Validate submissions for completeness and required information
-
Process data using proprietary RePort platform and associated tools
-
Review processing outputs and identify exceptions requiring investigation

Support processing of statements, cash transactions, and other operational information
-
Track submission status and follow up on outstanding items
-
Reconcile processed data to broker, cedant, and other supporting information
-
Check premium and claims movements for consistency and reasonableness
-
Identify and isolate reconciliation differences
-
Investigate discrepancies using Excel and structured analytical techniques
-
Determine the source of differences where reasonably possible before escalating
-
Escalate unresolved issues or matters requiring senior judgment with a clear explanation of the work performed

Respond to routine operational queries

Request missing information or supporting documentation where required

Maintain professional, clear, and timely communication

Coordinate follow-ups and manage operational deadlines
-
Maintain complete records of correspondence and actions taken

Follow established processing procedures and controls
-
Maintain accurate and auditable processing records

Identify unusual data, recurring exceptions, or potential data-quality issues

Perform quality-control checks before work is submitted for review

Suggest improvements where a process or control could work more effectively
