Role Description

As the Head of Market Risk, you will build and lead the market-risk function. You will define the limits, models, monitoring and escalation mechanisms that protect the platform through normal conditions, market stress, data failures and unusual participant behaviour.

What you will own

• Develop the risk framework across exposure, liquidity, concentration, volatility, settlement and counterparties.
• Set risk appetite, limits, triggers and escalation protocols for markets, participants and liquidity providers.
• Build real-time dashboards and early-warning indicators with data, quantitative and engineering teams.
• Design stress tests for extreme outcomes, correlated events, rapid information shocks and market closures.
• Review new market categories, contract structures and liquidity programmes before approval.
• Lead incident response for limit breaches, pricing anomalies, data failures and disorderly markets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in market risk, trading risk, exchange risk, clearing or quantitative risk.
• Deep understanding of electronic trading, liquidity, exposure measurement, limit systems and stress testing.
• Experience building or materially improving risk frameworks, models and management reporting.
• Strong quantitative judgment when models and real-world conditions diverge.
• Clear cross-functional communication and calm leadership during high-pressure events.
