Role Description
VIVIO Health is a Public Benefit Corporation rebuilding how specialty and high-cost medications are managed and paid for. We are a transparent, pass-through alternative to the traditional PBM, helping self-funded employers cut drug spend while their members get better care. The business is growing fast, and we are hiring a Director of Finance to build the financial engine that grows with it.
This is a true leadership seat. The accounting team reports to you, and you own the full finance function:
-
Planning and forecasting
-
The close
-
Revenue recognition
-
Treasury
-
Tax
-
Audits
-
The reporting our board, clients, and partners rely on
You will also turn pharmacy benefit economics into decisions:
-
Which clients and products create value
-
How to price and guarantee them
-
Where to invest next
You report to the CEO and partner closely with the CFO and the leadership team. The role is remote, and as VIVIO scales there is a clear path to expanded financial leadership.
What you will do:
-
Lead the accounting team. Develop and manage the accountants, and run day-to-day operations across general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
-
Own a clean, timely close. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of monthly, quarterly, and annual financials.
-
Plan and forecast. Own the annual plan, budget, and sales plan, and build the models and rolling forecasts that guide business decisions.
-
Make unit economics visible. Deliver contribution margin by client and product line, and run the KPIs and leadership dashboard that serve as our single source of truth.
-
Shape pricing and guarantees. Partner with Sales and Client Success on pricing for new business and renewals, including the modeling and true-up of pricing and performance guarantees.
-
Manage cash and capital. Run treasury, pharmacy claims payment cycles, client billing and collections, float and working capital, and banking relationships, and set the framework for how we allocate capital, including headcount.
-
Build the controls that scale. Establish the internal controls, reporting infrastructure, and financial systems a fast-growing company needs.
-
Keep us audit- and diligence-ready. Lead tax compliance and filings, financial, client, and plan sponsor audits and SOC examinations, and planning for state licensing fees and surety bonds.
-
Report to the board and executives. Prepare board-grade, diligence-ready financial packages with the CEO and CFO.
-
Partner across the business. Bring the financial lens to partner and customer contracts, leases and facilities, HR policy and compliance, and strategic and operating model decisions.
What success looks like
-
First 90 days: You have assessed our accounting, close, and controls; built strong working relationships with the CEO, CFO, and accounting team; reached a consistent monthly close; and delivered a first rolling forecast and KPI dashboard.
-
First 6 months: Contribution margin reporting by client and product line is live, a board package is co-prepared with the CFO, and a capital-allocation framework and finance team plan are in place.
