Role Description

The Business Banking - Portfolio Manager II is responsible for managing a portfolio of Small Business and/or Business Banking loans to ensure credit quality, compliance, and profitable growth. This role strengthens client relationships; monitors risk and supports the Bank’s lending strategy by delivering sound credit oversight and portfolio management that balance opportunities with prudent risk management.

This role manages an assigned portfolio of Small Business and Business Banking loans, ensuring portfolio quality, compliance with credit policy, and alignment with the Bank’s growth objectives. This role partners with SBC’s, Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, and business leaders to structure credit solutions, monitor borrower performance, and identify emerging risks. By delivering accurate, timely portfolio reviews and recommendations, the Portfolio Manager II supports sound credit decisions that balance client needs with prudent risk management. Ultimately, this role contributes to sustaining strong client relationships, protecting the bank’s assets, and driving long-term profitability.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Business, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ Years of experience in credit analyst, portfolio management or commercial/consumer lending.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of financial statements and credit analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and financial research tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
• Effective organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-oriented, proactive, and collaborative in approach to portfolio management.
• Must be customer-oriented, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and innovative.
• Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights.
• Builds trusted client relationships, whether internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience.

• Ability to travel as needed.

Pay Range: $66,622.50 - $103,929.00
