Role Description
This is a remote position. Our client is looking for a Billing & Finance Specialist to support accurate billing, financial record keeping, and day-to-day financial administration within a growing legal practice. Their firm operates in the real estate legal sector, supporting sophisticated commercial and high-value residential transactions while continuing to expand their team and transactional capabilities.
In this role, the Billing & Finance Specialist will help ensure that billing and financial information is processed accurately, organized consistently, and maintained with a high level of attention to detail. The ideal candidate is methodical, dependable, comfortable working with numbers and financial records, and able to identify discrepancies before they become larger issues.

Manage and support day-to-day billing and finance-related activities for the firm.

Prepare, review, and process client invoices with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness.

Maintain organized and up-to-date billing and financial records.

Review financial information and supporting documentation to identify inconsistencies, missing information, or errors.

Track outstanding billing items and follow up as needed to keep financial processes moving efficiently.

Assist with accounts receivable and payment tracking activities.

Accurately enter, update, and maintain financial data within the firm's systems and records.

Reconcile billing information, payments, and related financial records when required.

Coordinate with attorneys and internal team members to obtain information necessary for accurate and timely billing.

Maintain clear documentation related to invoices, payments, expenses, and other financial activities.

Assist with financial reporting and administrative finance tasks as needed.

Help maintain consistent billing procedures and identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Handle confidential client and financial information with professionalism and discretion.

Prioritize multiple financial tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications

Previous experience in a Billing Specialist, Finance Assistant, Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper, Accounts Receivable, or similar role is preferred.

Experience supporting a professional services organization, law firm, real estate company, or similar environment is a plus.

Familiarity with invoicing, accounts receivable, payment tracking, reconciliations, and financial reporting is preferred.

Experience with accounting, billing, or legal practice management software is beneficial.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to maintain consistency and precision when performing repetitive or detail-intensive work.
