Role Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take primary responsibility for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable while supporting reconciliations, month-end activities, financial reporting, and general accounting.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices, credit memos, and account adjustments accurately and on time.
  • Record and apply customer payments to the appropriate accounts and invoices.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and proactively follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Investigate short payments, credits, payment discrepancies, and other account issues.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve outstanding items.
  • Prepare and maintain AR aging and collections reports.
• Accounts Payable
  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices.
  • Match invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and payment schedules.
  • Prepare vendor payments for review and approval.
  • Monitor upcoming payment obligations and help ensure timely processing.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate billing discrepancies.
• General Accounting & Month-End
  • Perform bank and corporate credit card reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with journal entries and general ledger activities as required.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and financial schedules.
  • Identify discrepancies and ensure they are investigated and resolved promptly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience, including both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting or ERP system.
• A good understanding of general accounting principles, the general ledger, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end procedures.
• Experience preparing or working with AR and AP aging reports.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate financial records.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and independently work through accounting issues.
