[Hiring] Accounting Manager @Convoy Finance

Role Description

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager who can take ownership, think beyond the books and be a trusted partner to our clients.

• Oversee accounting work across a portfolio of growing companies.
• Work directly with international clients, founders, CFOs, and senior finance professionals.
• Ensure the accounting is accurate, the work gets done well, and client deliverables stay on track.
• Understand what’s happening in the business, identify issues before they become problems, and bring ideas to the table.
• Hands-on management role, close to the accounting while reviewing work, guiding team members, and managing priorities.
• Comfortable operating with a high degree of independence and making good decisions without needing everything mapped out.
• Significant ownership over client relationships with opportunities for broader advisory, financial management, and leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with significant experience in a client-facing accounting, public accounting, audit, or advisory environment.
• Big Four experience is required.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Taxprep, or CaseWare is a plus.
• A CPA designation or active CPA pursuit is also a plus.

Requirements

• Confident in owning full-cycle accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Comfortable working directly with clients, founders, CFOs, and senior finance professionals.
• Clear communication in English, able to explain what the numbers mean.
• Experience reviewing or mentoring other accountants.
• Comfortable providing guidance, giving feedback, and taking responsibility for the quality of the work delivered by the team.
• Proactive in investigating discrepancies and finding better ways to do things.

Compensation

USD 2,300–3,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time independent contractor position.
