Role Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our company. The Tax Associate will assist in preparing, processing, and filing tax returns for clients in the telecommunications industry.
- Process online filings of tax returns and Electronic Data Interchange and Electronic Funds Transfers (EDI / EFT's).
- Preparing necessary forms for filing taxes.
- Provide recommendations to Tax team members on updating the filing compliance documents.
- Assist with tax notices.
- Assisting the Tax Team with special projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree (Preferred).
- High School Diploma required.
- Knowledge of data manipulation, e-filing, and return preparations.
- Understand the reconciliation process and reconcile sales tax returns to source data files.
- 0-2 years of experience in US Taxation.
- Maintains a professional and positive attitude at all times.
- Proactively look at various scenarios to bring new process improvement opportunities and propose them to management.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Portable Document Format (PDF) is a plus.
