Role Description

As a Senior Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization's financial health and stability. You will work closely with senior management to implement financial strategies aligning with our overall business objectives.

  • Manage our various business accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, including GST, IT, and other taxes.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and timely.
  • Follow up on customer payments to ensure timely collections.
  • Manage cash flow effectively to ensure sufficient funds for operations.
  • Manage vendor payouts, ensuring prompt and accurate payments.
  • Participate in budgeting and vendor negotiations, optimizing costs and securing favorable terms.
  • Oversee bookkeeping activities to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Supervise expenses and implement cost optimization measures across departments.
  • Manage loans and credits, including negotiating interest rates and terms.
  • Implement and maintain financial software systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyses for management and external stakeholders.
  • Provide financial advice and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in a senior finance role, with a proven track record of success in managing financial operations for a mid-sized to large organization.

Requirements

  • Excellent English and Tamil communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong documentation and email writing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and accounting software like Tally and Zoho Books.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
