[Hiring] Staff Accountant @eyeo

Role Description
At eyeo, you will gain or deepen experience and knowledge in many areas of accounting, including:
- Customer and vendor transactions
- Fixed assets
- General ledger maintenance
- Account reconciliation
- Financial statement reporting and analysis
- Audit and tax support
You will have career growth opportunities to work on various projects, such as:
- ERP optimization
- Financial reporting
- Business process improvement
- Internal controls
- Maintain the general ledger
- Assist with researching and resolving accounts receivable issues including determining collectability concerns
- Process and record payroll on a timely basis
- Ensure timely recording and payment of vendor payables and liabilities
- Prepare accurate month-end and quarter-end financial close activities within the required deadlines
- Preparation of monthly reconciliations
- Group consolidation: assist and improve accurate and timely financial reporting across subsidiaries
- Assist in the preparation and tie out of financial statements
- Assist with audit fieldwork
- Prepare standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation to improve process efficiency and consistency
- Assist in identifying risks and process gaps and developing and implementing solutions
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in accounting practices
- Assist with quarterly VAT filings and ensure compliance with applicable local tax regulations
- Support ad-hoc projects as required, contributing to the success of the accounting team
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or foreign degree equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Experience with NetSuite a must
- Knowledge of international accounting standards, tax regulations (including VAT) and HGB is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Business fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must
- Highly developed attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
