Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Manager to join our team on a maternity contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll function, ensuring the accurate and timely payment of salaries in accordance with government legislation and organisational timetables.
- Reporting to the Assistant Group Financial Controller
- Direct report responsibility for the payroll coordinator
- Accountability for all strategic duties associated with the busy payroll process
- Own the end to end processing of 9 monthly UK payrolls
- Responsible for month end reporting, year end procedures and HMRC submissions
- Escalation point for any payroll disputes
- Own the process for bonus and pay review adjustments

Qualifications
- CIPP Qualification (preferred) or relevant experience
- Experience of working with Sage 50 payroll
- In depth knowledge & experience of payroll calculation and processing

- Will provide mentor style leadership to the payroll coordinator
