Role Description
The Head of Finance will be a critical member of the Executive Team, reporting to the CEO and responsible for managing all financial actions of Andela. This includes:
- Financial planning
- Tracking cash flow
- Analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses
- Proposing corrective actions
The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial input to senior management and play a pivotal role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Financial Management: Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
- Operational Leadership: Provide leadership, direction, and management of the finance, accounting, and IT teams.
- Investor Relations and Fundraising: Manage relationships with investors and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Strong experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably within the technology sector.
- Proven experience in strategic financial management and accounting.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
- Experience in fundraising and managing investor relations would be a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth and innovation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
