Role Description
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Controller to manage the accounting operations. The Controller will take over critical accounting responsibilities, allowing the founder to focus on delivering high-level CFO services to clients. This role requires someone with the ability to "get it" and take ownership of the accounting function.
- Manage and execute accounting operations, including creating and maintaining supporting schedules for fixed assets, prepaids (e.g., insurance), payroll accruals, and general accruals.
- Perform monthly financial closings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize Yardi (for property management accounting) and QuickBooks Online for day-to-day accounting tasks.
- Identify and implement improvements to streamline accounting operations.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting roles, including accounts receivable and general accounting.
- Public Accounting experience is required.
- Proficiency with Yardi and QBO is essential.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing accounting operations independently.
- Ability and willingness to adapt to specific processes and systems under guidance from a CPA.
- Advanced skills in maintaining supporting schedules for various accounting functions (nice to have).

- Remote (PST Time zone)
- Salary Range: up to 2200 USD
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (PST)
