Role Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to support our finance team in managing financial operations, reporting, and compliance. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to gain hands-on experience in financial management and accounting processes.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, reviewing all items for accuracy.
- Support the Financial Controller in maintaining general ledger accuracy across multiple entities within the same group.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support and overview accounts payable and receivable.
- Support audit processes and tax compliance in various jurisdictions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and process improvements.
- Manage and support the accountants team, acting as the primary point of contact for their questions and concerns, serving as a liaison between them and the Financial Controller.
- Assist the Financial Controller with any ad hoc projects and special assignments as they arise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in managerial accounting or controller assistant role.
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Requirements
- Experience with Sage Intacct (nice to have).
