Mar 18, 2025 - Goboony is hiring a remote Accounting Controller. 💸 Salary: €45,000 - €50,000 per year. 📍Location: UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands.
Role Description
As our Accounting Controller, you’ll be the financial guardian of our Dutch entity, ensuring everything runs smoothly and in line with Dutch GAAP. Your sharp eye for detail will keep our financial reporting on point, and your drive for process improvements will help us scale even faster!
You’ll work closely with a dynamic team, bringing your collaboration skills to the table while helping us hit our financial goals. If you’re all about precision, compliance, and making an impact in a scale up company, we can’t wait to meet you!
You will join our international finance team, while working fully remote! Your responsibility will be to oversee and ensure the accuracy of the financial reporting for our Dutch entity. Next to this:
- Responsible for the monthly and annual closing, ensuring compliance with Dutch GAAP
- Monitor and control cash flow to optimize financial stability
- Supervise accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and tax filings
- Implement improvements in financial processes and internal controls
- Collaborate closely with the Accounting Officer and stay up to date with industry best practices
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in controlling or a similar financial role
- Degree in accounting, finance or business administration (or equivalent)
- Fluent in English
- Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP and accounting regulations
- Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets & ERP systems
- Experience with Exact (accounting software) is a plus
- Experience working in a remote international environment, preferably at a scale up company, is a plus
- Open for change, eager to learn and have a can-do mentality
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Based in and eligible to work in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, United Kingdom, or Germany
