Role Description

AMD, Inc. is hiring a Sr. Silicon Design Engineer to:

• Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory.
• Oversee definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development.
• Determine architecture design, logic design, and/or system simulation.
• Define module interfaces/formats for simulation.
• Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits.
• Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
• Work in an area of specialization to develop ASIC/layout design, working on problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles.
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

• Experience in semiconductor hardware power performance and optimization.
• Experience in Big Data, Parallel Processing, and On-Chip networks.
• Experience in AI applications.
• Experience in Parallel processor architecture design.
• Experience in Digital computer design.
• Experience in Digital circuits (RTL and Verilog).
• Experience in Operating systems.
• Experience in Electronic circuits design.

Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, assistantship, or internship experience.
