[Hiring] Senior Principal Engineering Support Specialist @General Dynamics Mission Systems

Role Description

As a Senior Principal Engineer Support Specialist, you’ll serve as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives. The subject matter expert we seek will have significant experience in monitoring and reviewing operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements. We’ll rely on you to:

• Develop, analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills during research and/or product development.
• Perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
• Formulate and recommend corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s of Science degree or Technology degree, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Recognized internally and/or externally as a subject matter expert (SME) in multiple adjacent disciplines/fields.
