[Hiring] Security Systems Solutions Engineer @IES Communications

Role Description

The Solutions Engineer provides internal and customer process analytics and works with the sales team on customer-facing services and solutions. The Sales Engineer will also assist in the day-to-day pre-construction deliverables and requests.

• The Sales Engineer will work with the sales team to design low-voltage solutions for IES clients.
• Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers.
• Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in the customer environment.
• Acts as liaison between sales, project management, and operations when the project is turned over for installation.
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information from site visits/customer meetings to the pre-construction & sales team.
• Attends training and review sessions on technical requirements per the Company’s training guidelines.
• Completes job turnover meetings as required to cover all details and expectations of the project as they were designed.
• Handles other responsibilities as assigned.

• Proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentations.
• High skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
• Able to travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
• Able to learn Company and customer project management systems.
• Able to manage multiple projects/estimates and present a high level of organization.

Requirements

• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• RCDD certification preferred.
• Structured cabling industry experience preferred.
• Experience in customer interface, such as liaison between the customer and the Company.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
• Able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

Benefits

• Salary range: USD $65,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year.
