[Hiring] Principal Substation Engineer @Vitaver

Role Description

The Principal Substation Engineer will manage all assigned substation projects from conception through construction and commissioning.

• Work with the Early-Stage Project Manager to support engineering requirements and scope with the Development Group.
• Provide training, due diligence, and technical oversight of external engineers of record (EOR) for compliance with agreements and standards.
• Secure engineering consulting resources by developing scopes of work, securing bids, and awarding work through the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Group.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to develop and secure a substation site, including necessary engineering updates and permits.
• Source, select, and contract geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services.
• Support the E&C Cost Estimating Team with scope assumptions.
• Represent E&C's interests on assigned projects and present current progress, issues, and risk mitigation in meetings.

Qualifications

• Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience.
• Experience with IEEE codes and standards.
• Experience with NESC standards.
• Experience with ASCE standards.

Requirements

• Experience with Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects (7+ years).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) in a related discipline.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering.
