[Hiring] Consultant Engineer I @FM

Role Description

In this role, you will:

• Handle field visits, office work, and projects for large commercial clients.
• Receive extensive training to understand the business and build relationships with mentors.
• Gradually assess risks at larger commercial properties.
• Visit client facilities and perform evaluations to help reduce risks.
• Conduct hands-on site assessments of physical properties, including roofs.
• Evaluate site water supplies, dust hazards, chemical storage, and rack storage arrangements.
• Follow FM Engineering Standards and communicate recommendations to clients.
• Operate from a home office and travel to client facilities daily, with overnight travel expected approximately 30% of the time.
• Travel to Natural Catastrophe sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or fire protection.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Efficient time management ability and capability to work independently.
• Proven technical capability with diverse knowledge of engineering principles.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical ability to climb commercial ladders, lift >25 lbs., and work in confined spaces as required by some clients.
• Proficient in MS Office products.
