[Hiring] Technical Curriculum Developer @CapeTalent

1wk ago - CapeTalent is hiring a remote Technical Curriculum Developer. πŸ’Έ Salary: $55–$65/hour πŸ“Location: USA, Canada

Role Description

This is an Individual Contributor (IC) curriculum development and technical advisory role supporting a Global Tech training team. The training you'll support is built for software engineers β€” full-stack, front-end, and back-end developers β€” so you need to be one of them.

We're looking for a Technical Curriculum Developer with a real software engineering background and deep AI expertise, who can:

  • Review AI programming content for technical accuracy.
  • Catch what's missing or wrong and improve content development.
  • Evaluate curricula for technical accuracy from a developer's perspective.
  • Fill content gaps with written guides, video tutorials, and hands-on labs.
  • Identify and implement new processes to speed up design and development.
  • Review feedback from learners and engineering partners to improve content quality.
  • Help the training team understand underlying context and practitioner intuition.
  • Make sophisticated AI/ML concepts accessible without oversimplifying.
  • Embed with engineering teams to understand new technologies from a developer's perspective.
  • Collaborate with developer advocates, L&D team members, and technical writers.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience β€” full-stack web development or general software engineering (front-end and back-end).
  • Deep, hands-on technical expertise in AI/ML β€” e.g., machine learning, deep learning, LLMs, data science, or applied AI engineering.
  • Hands-on with a modern AI/ML stack β€” proficient in Python (and SQL where relevant), familiar with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical content for accuracy.
  • Able to learn new technologies quickly and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience implementing or improving processes for content development.
  • Experience explaining or teaching technical concepts to engineering audiences.
  • Strong written communication skills; able to produce clear technical content.

Requirements

  • Comfort working in fast, ambiguous, AI-assisted environments.
  • Experience embedding with engineering or platform teams as a technical advisor.

Benefits

  • 1099 or C2C (No W2) employment.
  • 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension.
  • 100% Remote (U.S. or Canadian candidates only).
  • Start date: September 2026.
  • 40 hours per week @ $55–$65/hour (C2C or 1099), based on experience.
  • Standard U.S. business hours (EST/CST/MST/PST).
  • Heavy Slack collaboration.
  • Laptop provided.
