[Hiring] Teacher as Practitioner and Researcher @Linc Education Services Pte Ltd

Role Description

This is a remote position.

As an experienced online educator, the candidate will work as an independent contractor of LINC Education to offer online facilitation services for students studying in the Masters of Teaching-Secondary (Online) offered by Victoria University Online. Candidate must possess strong knowledge of educational data analysis to evaluate and improve teaching, curriculum, and student outcomes. They should understand how to support diverse learners, engage families and communities, apply educational policy, and participate in reflective, research-informed practice with academic integrity.

Qualifications

• A Doctoral qualification or Master's Degree in Teaching and/or the relevant discipline area, or equivalent accreditation and standing.
• 5 years of relevant secondary school teaching, research and/or professional experience in the last 10 years (Note: At least 3 years formal teaching experience at a university or college is preferred).
• Knowledge and understanding of teacher education policies and practices.
• Empathetic, ambitious, warm and outgoing personality willing to work closely with people from diverse cultures.
• Proficient in English language; excellent oral and written communication.
• Must possess a working laptop and have access to high-speed (>10 MBPS) stable internet connection.
• Ability to quickly learn and use technology platforms for interacting with students, including host university’s LMS and LINC trac (training on these platforms will be provided).
• The candidate needs to be available between 5 pm to 10 pm every day.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Providing subject matter guidance to a group of 25-30 undergraduate online students.
• Support in learning skills like academic writing, research and time management.
• 1:1 and small group tutoring sessions.
• Guidance on relevant reference material.
• Assessment marking with long-form feedback.
• Management of discussion forums.
• Proactive, prompt and personalised support to student queries and issues.
• Prompt interaction with students over email, or calls/online sessions from locations of their convenience (e.g. home, office etc.).
