Role Description

Leland is seeking an experienced skilled trades coach to work with students and professionals building careers in the trades. This role includes:

• Teaching core skills in system installation, maintenance and repair, troubleshooting, and tool and equipment operation.
• Ensuring code compliance, regulatory and safety standards, and technical certifications needed to practice.
• Supporting project management, customer service, and skill building.
• Providing guidance on business operations and marketing for those running their own trade business and freelancing for independent work.
• Assisting with resume review, LinkedIn review, interview prep, salary negotiation, and networking strategy to help students land the right role.

Ideal candidates have:

• Professional experience in a skilled trade.
• Prior coaching or mentoring experience.
• A clear, structured approach to breaking down technical and business concepts.

Coaches set their own hours and rates, host sessions virtually, and partner with our team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every student.
