Role Description

The postdoctoral research associate will be responsible for:

• Co-editing the volume on research projects in open education.
• Advising open education research fellows in qualitative skills.
• Conducting research projects in open education.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Recruit book chapter proposals and help select authors to be invited to contribute.
• Evaluate the quality of qualitative research methods and analysis for book chapters.
• Meet with early-career scholars about open education research projects and provide guidance, particularly for qualitative methods and analysis.
• Co-edit the submitted chapters to ensure quality throughout the volume.
• Co-write the introduction and conclusion chapters to the edited volume.
• Conduct and disseminate through publication and presentation research in open education.
• Supervise the student worker on open education research projects.

Qualifications

• Qualitative research skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Evidence of academic publishing and presentations.

Requirements

• Doctorate in education or related field.
• Experience with open educational practices.
• Successful completion of criminal history background check.
• In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
• This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Publication record in open education.
• Experience advising graduate students and early-career researchers.
• Record of presenting at open education conferences.
