Role Description
The National Claims Trainer develops and delivers effective training programs to ensure consistent, compliant, and efficient claim handling across the organization. This role identifies departmental training needs, creates engaging materials, leads adjuster training for MPCI and private products, and supports licensing and regulatory requirements. Collaborating closely with internal teams, the manager promotes process improvements, quality assurance, and high standards of customer service while driving the overall goals of the claims department.

Identify training needs for the Claims Department and recommend solutions.

Create, develop and deliver training utilizing various written and verbal methods and materials including but not limited to presentations, video job aids, PowerPoints, workflows, coaching, mentoring, and other educational materials.

Create and maintain letters, forms, and templates as needed.

Promote consistency of claim handling and recommend processes for greater efficiency and improved claim handling.

Collaborate with other members of the claims department and other departments in the organization.

Timely completion of assigned tasks and projects.

Maintain knowledge and compliance of company procedures, claim-related statutes, insurance regulations, and other legal requirements.

Assist with quality assurance of claim audits if needed.

High level of customer service for internal and external clients and partners.

Monitor and maintain adjuster licenses.

Assist with filing CE hours with RMA and required State Departments.

Execute high level communication and teamwork across all departments.

Conduct and attend all adjuster system trainings in person and virtually for MPCI and private products.

Compile and create all necessary training materials for all adjuster trainings for MPCI and private products.

Contribute to the goals and objectives of the claims team and organization.

Exemplify professional and ethical behavior.
Qualifications
-
7+ years of experience in training and development is preferred, with 5 β 10 years in crop insurance, agricultural insurance, or a related field, preferably with national or multi-regional scope is highly preferred.

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Proven expertise in crop insurance products (MPCI, crop-hail, private products), underwriting, claims, and RMA regulations.

Demonstrated success in designing and leading scalable training programs for diverse audiences in a national or large-scale corporate setting.

Experience managing or mentoring a team of trainers or coordinating training across multiple locations is highly desirable.

Must be able to travel throughout Palomarβs crop footprint.
