Role Description

Leland is seeking an experienced mobile development coach to work with students and job seekers pursuing careers in iOS, Android, and cross-platform app development. This role includes:

• Teaching core mobile app development and user interface design skills.
• Guiding learners through cross-platform development frameworks and mobile testing best practices.
• Helping students build a strong technical foundation through hands-on skill building.
• Supporting the career side of the journey, including:
  • Resume review
  • Cover letters
  • LinkedIn review
  • Technical interview prep
  • Behavioral interview prep
  • Salary negotiation once offers come in
• Providing guidance on freelancing, app store optimization, promotion strategy, and networking strategy for students building independent careers.

Coaches set their own hours and rates, host sessions virtually, and partner with our team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every student.

Qualifications

• Professional experience shipping mobile apps.
• Prior coaching or mentoring experience.
• A clear, structured approach to breaking down complex technical and career topics.

Requirements

• Ability to teach core mobile app development skills.
• Experience with cross-platform development frameworks.
• Knowledge of mobile testing best practices.
• Experience in providing career support, including resume and interview preparation.
