Role Description

This is a remote position.

The Online Educator (LINC Fellow) functions as an independent academic contributor with LINC Education, delivering online facilitation services to postgraduate students enrolled in the Master of Financial Planning (Online) offered by Victoria University Online. The programs are delivered in innovative formats such as Victoria University’s block model, where students complete one unit in intensive 8-week blocks.

The LINC Fellow is responsible for providing structured academic support, personalised guidance, and high-quality feedback to students.

LINC Education is looking for qualified educators for any of the following units:

• BAO6005 - Taxation Law of Australia (4th Jan 2027 - 7th Mar 2027)
• BAO7006 - Financial Plan Construction and Client Management (4th Jan 2027 - 7th Mar 2027)

Qualifications

• A Doctoral qualification or Master's degree of higher in Financial Planning
• 5 years' experience either as an ASIC Approved Financial Adviser or 5 years' relevant teaching and/or research experience in the domain of financial planning in the last 10 years
• Registered Financial Planning Advisor Certification is mandatory

Requirements

• Personal laptop
• High-speed internet connection (>10 Mbps)
• Availability between 5 pm - 10 pm Melbourne time, 7 days a week

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter guidance to a cohort of 25–30 postgraduate students
• Conduct 1:1 academic support sessions
• Guide students on course content and assessments
• Perform assessment grading with detailed, constructive feedback
• Manage and moderate weekly discussion forums
• Support students in developing academic skills such as writing, research, and time management
• Deliver timely, proactive, and personalised support to student queries
• Engagement with students via email, calls, and online platforms within defined availability hours
