Role Description

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Video Editor to create engaging, high-performing video content across social media, digital marketing, and training. This is more than a technical editing role. We’re looking for someone who understands storytelling, hooks, pacing, audience retention, and content performance.

You’ll take raw footage and transform it into polished content including:

• Instagram Reels
• TikTok videos
• YouTube Shorts
• YouTube and long-form videos
• Paid marketing creatives
• Training and educational videos
• Brand and corporate content

If you know how to capture attention in the first few seconds, maintain viewer interest, and turn average footage into content people actually want to watch, this role is a strong fit.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating professional editing ability.
• Strong proficiency with at least one of:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Final Cut Pro
  • DaVinci Resolve
• Demonstrated experience editing short-form social media content.
• Ability to edit professional long-form content.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Storytelling
  • Hooks
  • Pacing
  • Audience retention
  • Composition
• Experience with:
  • Audio syncing
  • Audio cleanup
  • Color correction
  • Social media exports
  • Multi-format video delivery
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Reliable remote work setup.
• Availability during U.S. business hours.

Requirements

• Adobe After Effects and motion graphics experience (Nice-to-Have).
• Paid social advertising creative experience (Nice-to-Have).
• Brand storytelling experience (Nice-to-Have).
• YouTube editing experience (Nice-to-Have).
• Experience repurposing podcasts or long-form footage into short-form content (Nice-to-Have).
• Familiarity with Frame.io (Nice-to-Have).
• Experience working with:
  • SaaS companies
