Role Description

You'll cut direct-response ads for our brands — vertical video, primarily Meta and TikTok, built to stop the scroll and sell.

• Collaborate with the Creative Director on concepts, pushing back and shaping ideas.
• Experience a feedback loop where your work goes live with real advertising spend.
• Understand that most ads lose, and focus on generating and sharpening ideas.
• Make a lot of vertical ads in similar structures, mastering the craft within that format.

What you'll do:

• Cut [8–12] ads per week from Creative Director briefs.
• Assemble UGC and influencer footage into engaging ads.
• Build subtitles, text overlays, motion graphics, and sound design.
• Turn around revision rounds within 24 hours.
• Bring your own angles and variations on winning ads.
• Adapt winners into new formats, lengths, and platform cuts.

Qualifications

• Edited paid social ads — Meta or TikTok — for DTC or eCommerce brands.
• Fluent in Premiere Pro or After Effects (or both).
• Ability to identify what makes a hook work and why an ad loses viewers.
• Strong opinions about ad effectiveness and willingness to advocate for them.
• Strong written English for asynchronous communication.
• Full-time availability with no competing clients.
• A portfolio containing work you personally cut.

Requirements

• Motion graphics and animation skills beyond the basics (nice to have).
• Experience in pet, home, or lifestyle categories (nice to have).
• Comfort with high-volume variant testing (nice to have).
