[Hiring] Technical Lighting Artist @Virtuos

Role Description

• Time of the day library creation.
• Sky box material customization.
• Local lighting on the level with game/level artists collaborations.
• Checking and controlling PBR and PBL on the project.
• Creating custom HDRI maps.
• Scripting simple lighting functions and IES profiles.
• Monitoring performance on the level.
• Testing levels for playability and stability.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of lighting in real-time engines.
• Exceptional eye for color and composition, and light and shadow.
• Strong knowledge of how light reacts with PBR materials and textures.
• Excellent understanding of in-game lighting techniques, atmospheric effects, and subsequent systems.
• A strong portfolio focused on lighting work.
• Ability to work with different disciplines to deliver lighting that follows the concept and art direction while also acknowledging and enhancing the game design.
• Basic scripting understanding.
• English B1+ (speaking).
