Role Description

Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is seeking a Service Design Lead to join their team. As a Service Design Lead, you will be part of the Service Delivery Department supporting the transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Lead end-to-end service design for the replacement project, covering the full investigation lifecycle from referral intake through to case closure and outcome recording.
• Define future-state investigator journeys, operating models, and experience principles across all user groups including investigators, supervisors, oversight teams, and benefit program stakeholders.
• Identify and design interim-state operating models required during the transition from legacy systems to new platforms.
• Translate program objectives and business requirements into design-ready features aligned with program standards.
• Collaborate with product planning teams and business analysts to ensure features are user-centered, feasible, and ready for development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading service design on large-scale government or enterprise transformation programs.
• Deep expertise in service design methods, journey mapping, service blueprinting, co-design facilitation, and experience prototyping.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels, defining future-state operating models and reviewing individual feature designs within short timeframes.
• Experience working with Agile delivery teams, product owners, and solution architects in fast-paced environments.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, comfortable leading workshops with diverse stakeholders.
