Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Video Editor who can own the standard, not just meet it, on content that has to make Australian property investment land in 15 seconds and be measured on enquiries rather than reach.
Liviti operates in Australian residential property investment and wealth creation. The audience is people trying to build a portfolio: first-time investors, upgraders, SMSF buyers, and the mortgage brokers and accountants around them.
Our competitive set is loud and good at this. You should already know their video output and have a view on where it is weak.
We have editors. What we do not have is someone whose job is to decide whether a cut is good enough and to say precisely why it is not. That is this role. You still cut, and you also own the bar.
What You Will Do
-
Own the standard
-
Within your first 30 days, build what is missing:
-
A video style guide
-
A grading look our editors apply consistently
-
A hook library drawn from our own best-performing posts
-
A quality checklist an editor runs before submitting
-
Review every piece of video before it publishes. Give notes in writing, against the timeline, specific enough to act on without a call
-
Decide what ships. You have the authority to send work back
-
Cut the work that matters
-
Personally edit the pieces carrying the most commercial weight:
-
Campaign assets
-
Founder and spokesperson pieces
-
Suburb and market explainers
-
Grade properly. Property footage is shot in mixed light by different people on different cameras and has to look like one brand
-
Build for retention. Hook, pacing, captions, sound. This audience is being asked to consider a purchase worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, so the work has to look credible, not cheap
-
Lead the editors
-
Own the pipeline from brief to delivery: intake, versioning, review rounds, approvals, asset storage and archive
-
Work with the Sydney team
-
Work inside Australian general advice boundaries
Qualifications
-
4+ years editing, including time leading, training or reviewing other editors
-
Real colour grading, not presets
-
Masking and compositing: rotoscoping, keying, tracking, clean-up
-
Short-form craft: hooks, pacing, retention, captions, sound
-
Commercial literacy
-
Strong written English
-
Availability on a Philippine day shift, 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm PHT
-
Willingness to work inside compliance constraints
Requirements
-
Australian or international property, finance or real estate content experience
-
Motion graphics and After Effects depth, particularly data and figure animation
-
Experience with Frame.io, LucidLink, Shade.io, Resilio, Zoho Projects, ClickUp, Notion or Monday
-
AI-assisted editing workflows
-
Experience filming as well as editing
What to Send
-
A showreel or 2 to 3 pieces you personally cut, with the brief and the outcome for each
-
1 grade you are proud of, ungraded footage beside it if you have it
-
A short written critique of 3 recent Liviti posts. What would you change and why. 200 words is plenty
-
1 paragraph on a time you raised the standard of someone else's editing
Requirement During Job Interview
-
Walk us through your own existing work and the decisions inside it, including 1 piece you would now cut differently and why
-
Give us live notes on a piece of our published video as if you were briefing the editor who made it
