Role Description
TechnologyAdvice is looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our growing team! As a member of the Product Team, your responsibilities will support the product development process, including:
- Gathering and analyzing insights from stakeholders
- Making decisions on how to improve our products from a design and user experience perspective
- Collaborating with business and engineering teams to define and execute against our product vision
- Driving company initiatives forward
In this role, you will work as part of a cross-functional product team supporting the growth and development of our audience across 30+ owned and operated websites, and providing best-in-class customer experiences in our proprietary software and platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in graphic design, human-computer interaction, or a related field
- 4+ years of professional UX experience with a strong portfolio of user-centered projects
- Extensive knowledge of user research methods, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design principles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex design ideas clearly and persuasively
- Experience with prototyping and design software such as Figma or equivalent
- Experience in balancing user experience with business needs and technical feasibility
- A curious, flexible, can-do attitude and empathetic mindset
- Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward
- Familiarity with the publishing industry, Content Management Systems (CMS), cross-device and responsive design best practices, web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices is preferred
- Experience with Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) techniques and knowledge of branding, color theory, and typography is preferred
Requirements
- Define and conduct customer and user research and testing
- Establish feedback loops with stakeholders and customers
- Incorporate customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into all work
- Ask smart questions to deeply understand business and user problems
- Apply critical thinking and logic to make well-reasoned design decisions
- Determine the user architecture of digital products
- Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements and user journeys
- Oversee all deliverables produced by the UX team, ensuring quality and consistency
- Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring for other members of the UX team
- Communicate with product and engineering teams during the implementation process
- Ideate, conceptualize, and create wireframes, designs, and other user experience artifacts for all new product and data initiatives
- Create assets for product marketing, including customer-facing collateral and website designs
- Define standards and maintain overall design system documentation for the TechnologyAdvice platform
