[Hiring] Senior User Experience Researcher @Rula

Role Description

We're looking for a Senior User Experience Researcher (Sr. UXR) to help us understand and improve the journey from first considering mental healthcare to finding the right care and successfully getting started.

• Lead research focused on the patient experience.
• Help us understand what builds confidence and trust across the journey from first discovering Rula to booking and attending a first session.
• Identify opportunities, frame ambiguous product questions, and translate patient insights and behavioral data into clear recommendations.
• Work closely with Product, Design, Data/Analytics, and Marketing to ensure product decisions are grounded in rigorous research.
• Highly autonomous role with meaningful ownership over a product area.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive measurable improvements in the patient experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX Research experience with demonstrated strength across qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research.
• High degree of ownership: Ability to independently build and lead a research program.
• Product & Funnel Impact: Experience researching and improving critical product journeys.
• Methodological rigor & speed: Ability to deliver high-quality research quickly.
• Strategic problem framing: Ability to turn ambiguous business and product questions into clear research plans.
• Cross-functional influence: Proven ability to partner effectively with various stakeholders.
• Strong communication: Ability to synthesize complex findings into clear narratives tailored to different audiences.

Requirements

• Experience conducting research in a multi-sided marketplace.
• Experience conducting research across multiple connected product surfaces.
• Experience owning a longitudinal or ongoing measurement program.
• Experience working closely with product, design, or marketing teams on acquisition and conversion.
• Background in healthcare, mental health, or another sensitive product domain.
• Experience working on products where trust, confidence, or risk influence user behavior.
