Role Description

This role offers a chance to shape the player experience in a critically acclaimed, award-winning card game. You will design new cards and locations, balance live content, manage gameplay interactions, and lead a team of designers to ensure engaging and innovative gameplay. The position combines hands-on content creation with strategic oversight, collaborating closely with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver live updates and future game features. This is a high-impact role for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is passionate about crafting experiences that resonate with players worldwide. The role starts as a 3-month contract with potential for extension or transition to full-time.

• Design and balance new and live game cards and locations, ensuring engaging and fair gameplay
• Plan and implement content theming, archetypes, and future release strategies
• Manage gameplay rulings and interactions for consistency and clarity
• Coordinate live operations, including featured location sets and ongoing game updates
• Lead design projects, mentor other designers, and support cross-functional collaboration
• Drive design quality and innovation across both live and upcoming game content

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing card games and live service games
• Track record of owning design verticals on shipped titles
• Deep understanding of player types, behaviors, and motivations
• Experience managing player sentiment and live operations
• Strong leadership and mentorship experience for design teams
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines
• Familiarity with mobile game development and Unity is a plus, but not required
