[Hiring] Roblox Lead Artist @Rivrs

Role Description

RIVRS is a game studio focused on Roblox and Minecraft, with teams in France, Vietnam, and Indonesia. This role focuses exclusively on Roblox.

We’re looking for a strong, hands-on 3D game artist who can lead and develop the Art team across all RIVRS Roblox projects. You’ll create high-quality stylized game assets, set clear art direction, and help the team deliver consistent work across our games. The expected balance is approximately 60% hands-on production and 40% team leadership, depending on project needs.

• Work closely with game design leads and producers.
• Take ownership of art direction and delivery across our Roblox portfolio, including in-game assets, thumbnails, icons, and interface visuals.
• Roblox experience is a plus; candidates from Unity and other real-time game development backgrounds are welcome.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant game art experience, with a portfolio showcasing shipped games and clearly outlining your contributions.
• Excellent stylized 3D modeling and texturing skills for real-time games, with attention to visual consistency and readability on mobile screens.
• Strong composition, lighting, and rendering skills, with the ability to combine 3D assets and 2D editing to create engaging thumbnails and promotional visuals.
• Experience leading, coaching, or training artists, with the ability to give clear feedback and help a team develop.
• Knowledge of real-time asset workflows and performance constraints, including polygon, texture, material, and lighting budgets.
• Ability to balance quality and speed, manage priorities across projects, and improve work through feedback and data.
• Proficiency in Blender or equivalent 3D software, and Photoshop or equivalent tools. Willingness to learn and work in Roblox Studio, with curiosity about AI-assisted production.
• Fluent English and the ability to collaborate across teams and time zones.

Requirements

• Real-time visual effects experience, in Roblox, Unity, or another engine (Nice to Have).
• Experience designing interfaces for mobile games, including shop and monetization screens (Nice to Have).
• Roblox experiences shipped as lead artist or artist, ideally with thumbnails, icons and the numbers behind them (visits, concurrent users, qPTR or click-through rate) (Nice to Have).
• Experience creating UGC and avatar items (Nice to Have).
