[Hiring] Game Level Designer @CrazyLabs

Role Description

As a Level Designer, you will:

• Design new game mechanics and content from concept through implementation, as well as engaging levels, missions, and experiences using Unity3D and internal tools.
• Define level structure, sequencing, and difficulty progression to create an engaging player journey.
• Balance and maintain the levels, level funnels, and player journeys.
• Design, support, analyze, and improve live ops events to increase player engagement and meet business goals.
• Analyze game metrics, KPIs, market trends, playtest results, team input, and community feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Data Analysts to define requirements, evaluate performance, and improve key game KPIs.
• Create and maintain clear design documentation, including level layouts, briefs, flowcharts, and feature specifications.
• Participate in key production reviews, design reviews, and development milestones.
• Contribute creative ideas and design leadership within an agile, multidisciplinary team.
• Continuously research industry trends, best practices, and emerging game and level design techniques and technologies.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of level design experience in a mobile F2P studio or gaming company, with a focus on casual or hybrid-casual games and hands-on 3D level design in Unity 3D.
• Proven ability to conceptualize, create, implement, and manage complex level-design projects, level creation and balancing, using relevant tools and technologies in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong F2P mindset and experience using KPIs, analytics, spreadsheets, and analytical tools to make data-driven design and balancing decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and maintain detailed design documentation.
• Broad knowledge of the gaming market and current trends, with a strong passion for casual and hybrid-casual mobile games.
• Strong empathy and the ability to understand the needs, motivations, and experiences of the target audience.
• Experience using AI tools for game and level design, prototyping, balancing, and data analysis.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience specifically on Hybrid/Casual Puzzle games (advantage).
