Role Description

Hemisphere Talent Solutions is seeking skilled CAD Designers and Draughtspersons for its talent pool supporting US-based engineering, manufacturing and technical design teams. Candidates will produce accurate technical drawings, 3D models and design documentation for international engineering projects.

Working Arrangement: Remote from South Africa, with agreed overlap with US business hours.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D CAD models from engineering specifications.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, assembly layouts and Bills of Materials.
• Update technical documentation and incorporate engineering revisions.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, version control and CAD standards.
• Collaborate remotely with US engineers and project teams.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical Draughting, CAD Design or Engineering.
• 2 - 6 years of professional CAD design or draughting experience.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one 3D CAD platform such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor or PTC Creo.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and manufacturing specifications.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5, imperial measurements and US drawing conventions advantageous.
• Experience with Autodesk Vault, SolidWorks PDM or similar document-control systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and professional English communication.

Preferred

• Previous experience preparing technical drawings for US manufacturing or engineering companies.
