Role Description

As a Designer at ArcTouch, you'll be able to design great user experiences and engaging interfaces for various platforms (iOS and Android apps, web projects, and many others!).

  • Explore every form of interaction from touchscreens to voice command, chatbots, VR, and AR.
  • Collaborate with a skilled, fast-paced, and innovative team on various projects.
  • Contribute to different phases of the design process, from discovery to delivery.
  • Be part of our Accessibility Committee to create digital products that everyone can use.
  • Shape a digital landscape where accessibility is the norm.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer, product designer, or accessibility specialist.
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and their impact on digital design.
  • In-depth understanding of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2.
  • Proficiency in user research and usability testing with people with disabilities.
  • Familiarity with design systems and how to build accessibility into components and patterns.
  • A basic grasp of disability laws and regulations, including the ADA, Section 508, EAA.
  • Experience working on accessibility compliance for both web and native applications.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical knowledge of basic front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, ARIA).

Requirements

  • Work closely with other designers, developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including accessibility consultants.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate accessibility best practices into the product development process.
  • Provide mentorship and educational guidance on accessibility standards and techniques.
  • Create personas, user journeys, information architecture diagrams, wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes.
  • Prepare and lead user testing rounds with assistive technology users.
  • Conduct comprehensive accessibility audits and assessments of existing products.
  • Advocate for accessibility at ArcTouch and foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity in design.
