Role Description
As a Designer at ArcTouch, you'll be able to design great user experiences and engaging interfaces for various platforms (iOS and Android apps, web projects, and many others!).
- Explore every form of interaction from touchscreens to voice command, chatbots, VR, and AR.
- Collaborate with a skilled, fast-paced, and innovative team on various projects.
- Contribute to different phases of the design process, from discovery to delivery.
- Be part of our Accessibility Committee to create digital products that everyone can use.
- Shape a digital landscape where accessibility is the norm.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer, product designer, or accessibility specialist.
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and their impact on digital design.
- In-depth understanding of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2.
- Proficiency in user research and usability testing with people with disabilities.
- Familiarity with design systems and how to build accessibility into components and patterns.
- A basic grasp of disability laws and regulations, including the ADA, Section 508, EAA.
- Experience working on accessibility compliance for both web and native applications.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Technical knowledge of basic front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, ARIA).
Requirements
- Work closely with other designers, developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including accessibility consultants.
- Lead initiatives to integrate accessibility best practices into the product development process.
- Provide mentorship and educational guidance on accessibility standards and techniques.
- Create personas, user journeys, information architecture diagrams, wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes.
- Prepare and lead user testing rounds with assistive technology users.
- Conduct comprehensive accessibility audits and assessments of existing products.
- Advocate for accessibility at ArcTouch and foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity in design.
