Role Description

Our client is undertaking a strategic migration from a legacy data platform to Snowflake and is seeking experienced Snowflake Developers to support key migration initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining data solutions on Snowflake while ensuring seamless data migration, integration, and performance.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake.
  • Support the migration of data, workflows, reports, and analytics from legacy platforms to Snowflake.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data models.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to gather and understand migration requirements.
  • Perform data validation, testing, reconciliation, and troubleshooting to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance, storage, and query efficiency.
  • Implement and adhere to data governance, security, and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing activities.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Platform.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Data Warehousing Concepts.
  • Experience in ETL/ELT Development and Data Migration Projects.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex data-related issues.
  • Experience with data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Data Warehousing.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake development experience.
  • Experience working in cloud-based data environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
  • Exposure to large-scale migration initiatives from legacy platforms to Snowflake.
  • Experience with modern data integration tools and frameworks.
  • Snowflake Certification (SnowPro or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
