[Hiring] Senior Data Analyst @Prolific

Role Description

As Prolific scales, maintaining a healthy and sustainable participant marketplace will be critical to our ability to meet growing demand for high-quality human data. We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who can independently drive strategic marketplace analytics and act as an end-to-end partner across product, operations, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL and strong Python proficiency (e.g. pandas, experimentation analysis, automation).
• Proven track record of architecting scalable reporting frameworks and data marts in modern BI tools (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, Hex).
• Demonstrated capability to independently own ambiguous problems end-to-end — from complex raw data to executive-ready strategic insights.
• Experience analysing user acquisition, onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, churn, and behavioural cohorts.
• Experience designing and analysing A/B or operational experiments, with solid grounding in statistical concepts and causal thinking.
• Ability to translate participant and marketplace challenges into measurable hypotheses, success metrics, and actionable recommendations.
• Strong ability to connect operational metrics to revenue, margin, and financial performance.
• Exceptional ability to operate with high autonomy in a dynamic environment.
• Proven track record of influencing senior leadership and cross-functional partners across Product, Operations, Commercial, and Finance functions.
• Strong grasp of B2B and two-sided marketplace metrics and economics.
• Ability to translate complex analysis into concise, decision-ready insights.

Requirements

• Autonomously own analytics across the full participant lifecycle—from acquisition and onboarding through activation, engagement, quality, retention, and reactivation.
• Define and build strategic metrics, executive-facing dashboards, and robust experimentation frameworks that reveal participant behavior and optimize marketplace dynamics.
• Work closely with Product, Operations, Growth, Data Science, and Executive Leadership to identify growth drivers, structure complex experiments, and translate intricate marketplace data into high-impact strategic decisions.
• Work hands-on across SQL, Python, experimentation, and senior stakeholder leadership to drive alignment around participant health, marketplace liquidity, unit economics, and long-term supply sustainability.
