Role Description

The Summer 2027 Population Health Analytics Graduate Internship offers graduate students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of healthcare, data analytics, and population health strategy. This internship is designed for individuals who are passionate about leveraging data to solve complex healthcare challenges and improve health outcomes, affordability, and the overall member experience.

As a member of the Population Health Strategy Analytics team, the intern will:

• Work with large-scale healthcare datasets, including medical and pharmacy claims data and electronic medical record (EMR) information.
• Generate actionable insights that support Highmark's Living Health strategy.
• Collaborate with analytics professionals, clinical stakeholders, and business leaders.
• Contribute to high-visibility strategic initiatives focused on improving population health, enhancing care delivery, and driving value-based healthcare outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Epidemiology, or a related field.

Essential Job Functions
