Role Description

This job is responsible for all stages of the business intelligence cycle:

• Understanding business objectives
• Collecting business requirements and translating them into data requirements
• Designing and developing reports or dashboards (code and visualization)
• Scheduling and deployment of business intelligence components in accordance with supplied standards and best practices
• Completing accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborating with business and technology departments to understand system data and its use
• Data analysis and validation
• Providing support around the data and its integration
• Monitoring production systems for issues and resolving them or escalating as necessary

Remote with occasional travel required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), business, or related field

Requirements

• 1 year of experience with SQL programming language, data analysis and profiling, relational database systems, reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence systems
• 1 year of experience as a business analyst, collaborating with end users to define metrics and business requirements
• Preferred: 1 year of experience with Oracle, SQL programming language, and data analysis and profiling
• Preferred: 1 year of experience with data visualization using Tableau, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise edition and/or Crystal Reports
• Preferred: 1 year of healthcare experience

• Ability to design and maintain semantic layers, data marts, and business-friendly data models
• Advanced SQL skills, including reviewing and troubleshooting complex logic
• Ability to trace data lineage from source systems through reporting layers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on business outcomes
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to solve operational and strategic challenges
• Python, APIs, and analytics automation experience is a plus
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and lead enhancement initiatives
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Job Duties

• Develops logical modeling and presentation solutions to implement requirements using best practices within the business intelligence environments
• Works with business stakeholders to understand their business objectives and develop analytical solutions to improve business operations
• Maintains and develops documentation to identify and define processes or procedures
• Manages data by following best practices
• Supports and monitors business intelligence systems and processes
• Administers business intelligence server(s) and/or processes
• Performs other related duties as required

Physical and Environmental Demands

• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue
• Occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment
