Role Description

The Senior Business Intelligence Architect is responsible for building business intelligence processes for data consumption and business decision making, based on the organization’s data structure. The role involves:

• Partnering with business and technology stakeholders to design, support, and enhance business intelligence solutions.
• Understanding and prioritizing data and information needs and translating them into scalable analytics solutions.
• Solving complex business problems using internal and external data sources.
• Designing and optimizing business intelligence architecture, processes, standards, and solution performance.
• Creating testing methodologies, validation criteria, and quality controls for business intelligence solutions.
• Developing governance standards, policies, procedures, and data quality metrics.
• Translating requirements across business, project management, and technical teams.
• Researching emerging technologies and developing business cases for new business intelligence solutions.
• Providing technical guidance and consultation to business and technology teams to drive effective use of business intelligence solutions.
• Making decisions on moderately complex to complex technical and architectural issues with minimal direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, data architecture, or related disciplines.
• Advanced experience working with large and complex data sets within large healthcare organizations.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and analytics platforms.
• Experience analyzing data to solve complex business problems and drive strategic decision-making.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate requirements between business, project management, and technical stakeholders.
• Experience designing or supporting business intelligence applications, processes, standards, or architecture.
• Experience developing testing methodologies, process controls, or data quality measures for analytics solutions.

Requirements

• Typically requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years of technical experience.
• This role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.
• Work at Home Requirements:
  • Self-provided internet service must meet a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps.
  • Wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
• Travel: Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
