Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Databricks Subject Matter Expert (SME) with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for a 6-month contract position. This role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to the client's office in Bangalore. The compensation is - 1.4 Lakhs per month plus GST.
- Databricks Implementation: Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Leverage GCP services to optimize Databricks environments for cost and performance.
- Infrastructure as Code: Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform scripts.
- Cost Optimization: Implement strategies to monitor and reduce cloud expenditures on GCP.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4-6 years in data engineering, with significant experience in Databricks and GCP.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing; strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Terraform Expertise: Hands-on experience in writing and managing Terraform scripts for cloud infrastructure deployment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
