Role Description
The Data Ingest Analyst performs editorial, administrative and analytical functions related to the ongoing development and creation of media databases and content, specifically in the audiovisual sphere. This person will be responsible for securing text and image data related to TV Series, Movies and Sports airing on TV or video-on-demand and which will in turn enable various Content Video teams to perform complex manipulations on the entertainment information that forms the core of Gracenote’s media database.
- Issue technical instructions to Internal Engineering teams
- Establish relationships with Content Providers in the media industry market space
- Handle Editorial Support Cases
- Handle Customer Support Cases
- Source & Acquire schedules and metadata for Content Video teams
- Conduct Market Analysis
- Improve Quality of Inbound data feeds
- Maintain the existing ingest process to ensure it works smoothly (fix errors, improve parsers)
- Identify areas for improvements in the current data ingest infrastructure
- Communicate market trends, challenges and improvements to Editorial teams and Content Providers
- Ad Hoc Project work
Qualifications

- You are very process driven and are able to handle workflows across various systems.
- Must have impeccable writing and verbal skills in English.
- Effective organizational, grammatical, analytical, spelling, writing and communication skills.
- We are looking for a quality focused individual with a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be able and willing to work outside regular business hours if required.
- Windows proficiency and / or experience using other computer software and databases.
- Strong technical understanding preferable.

- Able to identify reliable, accurate data from sources.
- Solid communication and time-management skills required.
- Quality-focused individuals with a high level of attention to detail.
- You are very process driven and are able to handle workflows across various systems.
- You are comfortable with technology and programming terminology (you will be issuing instructions to engineers and programmers).
- You demonstrate a professional appearance for representing Gracenote and are comfortable talking to people and building relationships both internally and with external organizations.
- Challenges motivate you and you are comfortable taking the lead and making decisions independently.
- You have sharp analytical skills and ability to recognise trends and make value-added recommendations.
- You have a high affinity with computers and strong verbal skills in English.
- You are a reliable team player, always helping when needed.
- You are a strong person who manages your responsibilities and tasks independently, but does equally well in a team environment while at the same time not being afraid to seek support or guidance from peers to help you overcome challenges.
