Role Description

Revelio Labs is looking for a Data Analyst to join the Economics team. The Economics team at Revelio Labs is charged with many exciting tasks:

• Analyzing and deriving insights from our data
• Writing our weekly newsletter
• Collaborating on large-scale research projects
• Writing reports
• Working with our clients to deliver custom insights

As a Data Analyst, you will contribute to the team and work alongside our economists and data scientists. You will:

• Contribute to writing the weekly newsletter, including coming up with interesting questions, analyzing and interpreting data, visualizing key insights, and telling the story
• Work on projects with senior economists and data scientists, which may include consulting or research collaborations or working with journalists
• Serve as point of contact for clients to help answer any data-related questions
• Deliver custom-made insights from our data to clients and work closely with them to maximize the use of our product
• Collaborate with the sales team to support prospective clients and trials, acting as an expert on the data

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Economics or closely related field
• Coursework or experience in applied economic research or data analysis is preferred
• Experience with Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, Plotly)
• Experience with SQL

Requirements

• Experience with empirical research
• Experience loading, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data using a scripting language
• Keen interest in labor market trends, business analytics, and human resources
• Ability to ask interesting questions and tell a good story with data

Benefits

• Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000 per year in New York City
• Eligibility to participate in the company’s equity program
